Running as a Good Way to Start

We often receive e-mails from our readers where they share their experience and sports achievements. They willingly express their impressions about exercising and we gladly publish such e-mail on our website. Following is an extract from an e-mail of that kind.

...For me running is not only excercising. For now it has been incorporated to my mode of life. And I would like to say a few words on how one can make himself accustomed to regular running.

Running is a good way to gain stamina, keep fit or bring cardio up. As all other trainings running is a subject of habbit and discipline, which means that if you run frequently, it will be easier to pick up your shoes and head to run. However, unlike other kinds of training activities, running is practically costless, since it does not require any membership or expensive gears. For the beginning, a simple t-shirt, shorts and good mood will be enough to open a new line of consequtive training walks.

Shoes can be a little tricky, however local sports store will have an affordable pair for sure. Therefore, choosing shoes, do not aim for the professional gears you have probably seen in athlete's magazine, just pick the one you feel comfortable wearing. Do not hesitate putting those shoes on, and walk around the store, or even try to run a but, if space allows you.

After you have got a pair of shoes, you are basically ready to head out on the road. During training, choose your route wisely, and try to avoid busy streets. Also, you better off with running on street itself, rather than the sidewalk, since the pavement of the road is way softer and more even.
